If you are having issues installing your published .apk file this is most likely due to a mismatching Java version. Below are the steps to resolve this issue in TracerPlus version 9 and TracerPlus version 10:
The current release of TracerPlus Desktop Publisher 9 requires Java Version 8 Build 60 however some PCs are updating to newer versions which causes the published apk to no longer install. Follow the instructions below to resolve this issue.
http://files.tracerplus.com/private/APK_JavaUpdate/Android.zip
- Download the above Android.zip file to your PC.
- Right click the zip file and choose extract which should create an android folder.
- Make sure TracerPlus Desktop is fully closed.
- Navigate to your TracerPlus Desktop install path (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\PTS\TracerPlus Desktop 9\Tools) folder (Do not use search).
- Copy the Android folder that you unzipped earlier above into this Tools folder replacing the existing Android directory and files.
- Open your TracerPlus Desktop project and rebuild your apk file.
- Copy apk file to device and execute it to see if it works now.
