When using the new Zebra MC339R Mobile RFID reader, there is a particular way you want to aim the scanner in order to get the best tag reads.
Contrary to what you may think based on the design, the signal for the scanner is projected straight outwards from the from of the device, not downward as the concave suggests. By aiming directly at the tags you are attempting to scan you will see much faster read rates, and read ranges up to 60ft.
