In order transfer a perpetual license of TracerPlus or TracerPlus Connect to a different device, you will need the following:
- An active support agreement.
- The device/PC ID needing to be replaced.
- The new device/PC ID to transfer to (ideally though not required immediately).
Here are the steps required to transfer this license:
- Contact PTS to clear your previously assigned license.
- If you have the new device/PC ID to transfer TO, you can provide it with this request.
- Once PTS confirms clearing of this license, you will be provided a redemption code (e.g ABCD-1234).
- This redemption code can be used on your TracerPlus device *or* in TracerPlus Connect depending on the license needed.
- When you receive this redemption code, you should enter on the device or within TracerPlus Connect.
- Device:
- Select the Register Device option when first starting TracerPlus.
- Enter the Redeem code into the Registration or Redeem Code field.
- If you were provided with a 9 digit code, this can be entered to the same field above.
- Click the GO button to register.
- Please note that this method requires an active internet connection.
- TracerPlus Connect:
- Start TracerPlus Connect.
- Navigate to Tools-->Registration.
- Enter the Redeem Code into the Redeem code field.
- Click the Key icon button to Register.
- Please note that this method requires an active internet connection.
- If you were provided a 13 digit code, you should enter this to the Registration code field instead of Redeem code.
- Device:
Notice for TracerPlus 10.4 and Earlier Users: In the event you are moving a client license from one device to another and you are using TracerPlus Connect, you will need to navigate to the Tools-->Registration screen in TracerPlus Connect, then Right-Click the Old Device ID and choose Retire in order to allow the new device to sync with Connect. This can only be done on the Primary license of TracerPlus Connect.
