How do I configure Wireless Server to connect to my own database?

This can be modified using one of the two methods below:

1. 1. Create a New DSN:

1. 1. • Navigate to Control Panel-->Admistrative Tools and double click Data Sources (ODBC).

 

1. 1. • Choose the System DSN tab and select ADD.

 

1. 1. • Choose the appropriate driver for your database and select Finish.

 

1. 1. • Enter relevant information about your DSN and select the Database file.

 

1. 1. • When complete select OK to close all windows.

 

1. 1. • Open TracerPlus Wireless Server and navigate to ODBC Configuration.

 

1. 1. • Seletc your newly added DSN and choose your table.

1. 1. Point the PTS TracerPlus Sample DSN to your database (This only applies to MS Access users):

1. 1. • Navigate to Control Panel-->Admistrative Tools and double click Data Sources (ODBC).

 

1. 1. • Choose the System DSN tab and double click the PTS TracerPlus Sample.

 

1. 1. • Under Databse choose Select.

 

1. 1. • Navigate to the location of your Database file and it should appear on the left side.

 

1. 1. • Highlight the Database file and select OK to close all windows.

Note - If you already have a DSN setup for your database simply choose your DSN from the "DSN" dropdown under ODBC Configuration.
