Installing TracerPlus With Zebra StageNow

TracerPlus can be installed on Zebra devices using Zebra StageNow software. This method allows administrators to deploy the TracerPlus application during device staging rather than going through more commonly used methods like from the Play Store, saving time if you have a large number of devices to deploy.

StageNow can be used to install the TracerPlus application only. Deploying TracerPlus projects, databases, or configuration files through StageNow is not recommended, as manual file deployment methods can be unreliable due to android caching. 

Prerequisites

• Zebra Android device.
• Zebra StageNow installed on a workstation.
• TracerPlus APK file.
• USB, barcode, or other supported StageNow enrollment method.

Creating a StageNow Profile

1. Install & Open StageNow.
2. Create a new profile.
3. Select the appropriate MX version.
4. Select Xpert Mode, click create, and give the profile a name.
5. Add 'AppMgr'.
6. Set Application Action to 'Install'.
7. Set the file path and name of the TracerPlus APK.
8. Select Continue, this will bring you to the Review page.
9. Select Complete Profiles, this will bring you to the Publish page, from here you can select the supported deployment type of your choice.

Installing TracerPlus on the Device

1. On the Zebra device, launch the StageNow client.
2. Scan the generated staging barcode or apply the staging package using your preferred method.
3. Wait for the installation process to complete.
4. Verify that the TracerPlus application appears in the device application list.
