There are some PCs that are finicky to Sync to handhelds, especially Dell computers as they often have issues with their USB ports not functioning or turning off. Try the following:

This cuts out the “driver load” that sometimes takes 4-5 minutes or more which sometimes occurs with new out-of-box devices tied to some PCs.
To begin, click “Start” and search for “group policy editor”. You should see a result come up that says “edit group policy”. Click on that and follow the directions below:
1. On Group Policy Editor snap-in under Computer Configuration expand Administrative Templates and expand System.
2. From expanded list select “Device Installation” and from the right pane double click on “Specify search order for device driver source locations”.
3. On the opened window select “Enabled” radio button and in the Options section from the drop-down list choose “Do not search Windows Update”.
4. Hit Apply and close out the windows.
